Creative and Delicious Ways to Eat More Veggies

If you struggle to consume the recommended two to three cups of vegetables every day, you’re not alone. A study performed last year by the CDC revealed only 9% of Americans consume the minimum daily vegetable recommendation.

Vegetables are full of nutrients, and incorporating them into your diet doesn’t have to be boring. At Magimix, we are dedicated to making healthy eating fun and easy. Here are a few ways to make eating veggies more enjoyable!

Spiralizing

The Spiral Expert attachment for the Magimix Food Processor makes it easy to create various types of spirals out of vegetables like zucchini, carrots, potatoes and more. The attachment set comes with three cones that allow you to make spaghetti, tagliatelle and fusilli shaped spirals.

“Zoodles,” or zucchini noodles, have become a popular vegan alternative to pasta. But don’t just stop at zucchini! Try spiralizing sweet potatoes, squash or carrots for a fun variation on vegetable noodles.

Juicing

Juicing is another fun way to shake up your veggie routine. The Magimix Food Processor can be used with a Juice Extractor Attachment that makes it easy to juice all your favorite fruits and vegetables. When you juice produce, the resulting liquid contains most of its vitamins, minerals and nutrients, which can be a beneficial alternative to eating the whole fruit or vegetable.

If you don’t want to lose out on the valuable fiber in the pulp, try adding it to baked goods like muffins, or toss it into the broth of a soup!

Veggie Chips

Beet chips, carrot chips, squash chips, zucchini chips, the possibilities are endless! Simply let your Magimix do all the work! Use the fluted disk in the Creative Kit to create thinly sliced chips. You can roast, bake or dehydrate vegetable slices and season with any flavors of your choice to create a delicious, crispy snack.

Baked Goods

If you’ve got a picky eater, try hiding vegetables in baked goods. Check out some of the recipes on our Pinterest page that incorporate veggies like zucchini into delicious breads, muffins, and even brownies.

You can even make pizza crust out of cauliflower (talk about the best of both worlds!).

With these tasty tricks, there will be no more excuses not to consume your daily amount of produce. Even the pickiest of eaters are sure to find a vitamin-packed, feel-good snack that they enjoy!
